We discovered our Hong Yu - Ruby 18 on this year's tea trip on a small tea farm in Yuchi Township, which is very close to Sun Moon Lake.
The tea garden is cultivated without the use of pesticides or artificial fertilizers.
Weeds and grasses are removed manually and used as fertilizer.
This Hong Yu - Ruby 18 has large, twisted tea leaves that produce a beautiful dark amber liqueur.
The taste is very strong and it has a jammy, fruity note and is also reminiscent of eucalyptus.

Cultivar: THREE #18 - Cross between a wild Taiwanese cultivar and a Burmese Assam tea plant
Anbauhöhe: 421 to 1000 meters
