Green tea
If the tea farmers harvest green tea leaves in the morning and process them immediately, you can already enjoy the first cup of green tea in the evening of the same day.
Since the tea leaves of green teas are not fermented and instead are dried immediately, the tea leaves retain their natural green color and valuable ingredients such as tannin - vitamin C - chlorophyll and minerals. The taste of green teas is therefore usually very strong but rather inconspicuous compared to oolong or black teas
Beneficial effects of green tea:
Since there is no fermentation process, green tea also has a very low caffeine content of around 25mg of caffeine per 100g of tea. This makes it the perfect companion for meditation. It has a mildly stimulating effect without causing insomnia or nervousness; its effect is more refreshing and calming.
How is green tea properly prepared?
Green teas are prepared with 80°C warm water. The brewing time should not exceed 3 minutes.
Green tea manufacturing process:
The leaves are withered immediately after picking to prevent the fermentation process from starting. The green leaf retains its natural color.
