Four Seasons Oolong Tea - Si Ji Chun Cultivar means "four season like spring" in Taiwanese. This means that this excellent oolong tea can be harvested four times a year and always retains its consistently high quality, similar to a spring oolong tea that is picked in spring.

Four Seasons Oolong Tea - Si Ji Chun Cultivar is a relatively young tea variety that only became established in the 1980s. Thanks to its good yield, Si Ji Chun Oolong Cha is harvested four times a year and traditionally picked by hand. In this way, the leaves are protected and only the best leaves find their way to you.

During the harvest, only the tea bud and the two following leaves of the Four Seasons Oolong tea are picked.

After harvesting, the loose tea leaves are stored in a dark room to wither before the tea is fermented.

During fermentation, the tea leaves are gently rubbed and shaken so that the juice from the leaves begins to escape.

To stop the short fermentation process, the leaves are briefly heated. the degree of fermentation of this excellent oolong tea is around 20 - 30%.

Taste profile

This Four Seasons Oolong Tea - Si Ji Chun Cultivar is a light fruity indulgence with formal lilac aromas. Every sip caresses the palate with its silky freshness.

Thanks to its light fermentation below 30%, the freshly brewed tea shimmers slightly in a slightly golden hue after a brewing time of three minutes.
