Da Yu Ling Oolong Tea grows at an altitude of 2,400 meters above sea level. At this altitude there are large temperature differences between day and night temperatures. Furthermore, the tea plants are permanently in dense fog. These conditions mean that the tea leaves wake up very slowly, which contributes to a highly concentrated aroma with very complex nuances.

This fine lightly fermented Da Yu Ling Oolong comes from a small tea garden located near Highway 8 at the 98K milestone.
The tea leaves were harvested by hand in the winter of 2021/2022.
The Taiwanese environmental authority has also been renaturing unauthorized tea gardens above 2400 meters above sea level for several years in order to better protect the sensitive ecosystem in this region.
Taste profile
This Da Yu Ling Oolong Cha is only very lightly fermented and has a beautiful yellow colour, its buttery aroma is underlined with a sweet, floral aroma. The delicate scent of the tea is reminiscent of tangerine fruits.
