We discovered this lightly roasted Alishan High Mountain Oolong two years ago on our tea trip while visiting a tea farmer near Taiping.
The small tea shop is surrounded by a picturesque view of the surrounding mountains.
Tea master Chen took a lot of time for us and we were allowed to taste different Gao Shans. We finally decided on this lightly roasted oolong because it convinced us across the board.
The taste is very balanced but intense and pleases at any time. Due to the short roasting, the tea tastes slightly nutty and is reminiscent of biscuits and forest honey.
