We got hold of this lightly roasted Alishan High Mountain Oolong on our this year's tea trip while visiting a tea farmer near Taiping.
The small tea shop is surrounded by a picturesque view of the surrounding mountains.
Tea master Chen had taken a lot of time for us and we were allowed to taste various Gao Shans. We decided and then ultimately for this lightly roasted Oolong because it convinced us all along the line.
The taste is very balanced but intense and pleases at any time. Due to the roasting, the tea tastes slightly nutty and is a bit reminiscent of cookies and forest honey.
