Our Earl Gray tea - kissed by bergamot - from Taiwan is a real treat and is ideal for daily enjoyment or for making iced tea.

According to legend, a ship sailing between China and England got caught in a heavy storm in the 19th century. the charge was damaged and the precious bergamot oil spilled over the charged black tea.

Upon arrival in England, Earl Gray had the "damaged" tea tasted. Since the response was amazingly positive, he sold it in his name.

In Taiwan, this Earl Gray tea - kissed by bergamot - is also often refined with fresh kumquats and a little honey. to do this, some kumquat fruits are crushed between your fingers and placed in a teapot, complete with the skin of the fruit. After some honey has been added, the brewed tea is added.

The kumquat is a plum-sized citrus fruit and is also often referred to as golden orange or Japanese orange.

This citrus fruit originally comes from China and has therefore become widespread in Asian cuisine.
