This tea is a real treat for lovers of aged oolongs. This Premium Shanlinxi was harvested in 2009, more than 10 years ago. Since then it has been regularly checked and roasted by the tea master Mr. Lin so that this great tea can show its full aroma.
Aged oolong tea leaves do not open up like fresh oolongs due to their aging. The tea is checked every 2 or 3 years by an experienced tea master, who then decides whether the tea should be roasted again to remove excess moisture and to preserve or further develop the taste of the tea.
During the first infusion, the tea forms a very intense aroma. We recommend brewing this Shanlinxi at least three times so that it can fully develop its soft liqueur-like aroma. He then rewards this with his slightly smoky taste and sweetish plum aromas. This Aged Oolong can certainly be brewed at least 5-6 times.
The tea is vacuum packed to protect the aroma.
