This beautiful Da-Yeh Red Oolong is grown in a small tea garden in Mingjian Township, Nantou County, which is in the heart of Taiwan's most popular tea region.
The red oolong was made from the Da-Yeh cultivar, which is known for its soft taste and does not require astringency.
This tea was fermented up to 85%. In order to emphasize its taste, it was briefly roasted before packaging.
When you open the pack, you are immediately greeted by an intoxicating scent of pipe tobacco that you might remember from grandpa's time.
In the teacup, the Mingjian Da-Yeh Red Oolong shines bright amber and has a pleasant but not overpowering sweet taste. Aromas of apricot and maple syrup can be recognized.
