This Jin Xuan Milky Oolong is one of the popular ones Highlands oolong Teas and tastes lovely sweet with a soft creamy accent.
In order to avoid confusion, we would like to point out that the original Milky Oolong tea from Taiwan does not come into contact with milk in any way, as is often advertised in "Milky" Oolong teas from China :)
Milky Oolong tea comes from the tea bush Jing Xuan (Tai Cha # 12) which has been cultivated since around 1980. This type of tea is also often referred to as Golden Lily and gets its unique taste only from the careful selection and processing of the raw materials.
The loose tea leaves are carefully picked by hand, after which they are placed in the sun by the tea farmers to let the leaves wither briefly.
During the fermentation process, the leaves are gently rubbed and shaken so that the emerging juice reacts with the oxygen in the air,
The tea leaves are only very lightly fermented at 20-30%.
The loose tea leaves were picked by hand on the tea plantation in spring 2020
Our Jin Xuan Milky Oolong is cultivated in Chiayi County in Meishan Township at an altitude of 1200 meters above sea level.
