Who would have thought that Milky Oolong has recently been cultivated in the Shanlinxi growing region.
In addition, the characteristic Golden Lily Jin Xuan cultivar is grown in a small tea garden at 1200 meters, which thrives there excellently.
The climatic conditions allow the tea bushes to grow evenly, which leads to a very balanced taste. Its aroma tastes wonderfully sweet and caresses the tongue with its silky texture.
The Jin Xuan cultivar is a cross between Ying Zhi Hong Xin and the TTSE #8 cultivar. Its Taiwanese breeder Wu Zhenduo created this cultivar in the 1980s and named it "Jin Xuan" after his grandmother.
Today the tea bushes are also known as Tai Cha #12 or Golden Lily.
The loose tea leaves are carefully picked by hand, then the tea farmers place them in the sun to let the leaves wither briefly.
The tea leaves are only very lightly fermented at around 20%.
